After a career as a lifeguard and pool manager, I wanted to get away from this somewhat restricted environment.

I therefore trained as a professional diver, and performed my first missions abroad.

Following this experience, I had the opportunity to join PETROVAL, a company that allows me to exhibit my full potential while discovering new countries and new cultures.

I joined the Petroval team as Workshop Manager (Maintenance & Logistics) immediately after I graduated.   I also worked on the development of a quality management system which aimed to ensure customer confidence and satisfaction, by identifying and formalizing the measures that are necessary to achieve quality of services.

The organization in the company also allowed me to be involved in cross-functional roles (employee representative, project manager).

After 15 years of very enriching professional and personal experiences, I joined the sales department as a sales assistant, working in an atmosphere that is both serious and informal.

One feels a real "team spirit" within this small enterprise.   In addition, the management of the company is accessible and attentive to the employees’ needs and aspirations, which adds that little extra for PETROVAL!

Following several years of selling furniture as the assistant purchasing manager for a French enterprise, I became a professional diver after training at the INPP (National Institute of Professional Diving) in Marseille.   I practiced this profession for a year.

I was recruited by Petroval in January 2006 as a reactor loading specialist.   After 5 years in that position, Petroval gave me the opportunity to create and manage a new agency that we were opening in Singapore to cover the Asia-Pacific region.   Since 2011, I have with the same passion continued to manage and develop the local agency, meeting clients and working with them on their job sites.

I am very proud to work for a company in which human relations are warm and viewed as important, which is always innovating with the aim to better satisfying its customers, and which allows its employees to evolve if they so wish.

    PETROVAL’s catalyst department offers a wide range of services for catalyst replacement: unloading, reactor dense loading, catalyst sampling, expertise and supervision during unit maintenance . Teams of specialists operate on site throughout the world. Since the company's creation, more than 1,500 reactors have been "dense loaded" worldwide by PETROVAL teams.

    In addition to this Catalyst department, PETROVAL has also developed an Energy department which includes energy expertise and diagnostic assistance (through Infra-Red Thermography) and offers adapted technologies (Inserts) to improve the energy efficiency of units and reduce the carbon footprint of industrial sites.

    PETROVAL is an internationally oriented and operates on all 5 continents from headquater based in France (Normandy) and with the help of its subsidiaries located in Bahrain, Singapore and in the United States (Texas) in close contact with its clients.

    In order to contribute to the growth of our activities, we are currently looking for a Process Supervisor in France and in our subsidiary in Houston.

    YOUR MISSIONS

    • Carry out technological interventions, to implement our processes on refining and petrochemical sites (loading of catalysts). For this activity, the penetration inside the reactor can be under air or nitrogen atmosphere after a dedicated training.
    • Participate and be a driving force in the preparation of jobs.
    • Write intervention’s technical reports for the client.
    • After an internal training, provide supervision and technical assistance on site.
    • Be involve in the safety & quality process of the company.

    PROFILE

    A first experience in this domain is likely but not mandatory as our internal training will allow you to reach the required technical level.

    However, you will need to accept:

    • To travel all over the world for missions (short or long one).
    • To have an unfixed schedule.
    • To work in a hostile environment (reactor: confined and dark space).
    • To work under nitrogen environment.

    The following skills are expected:

    • Have basic English skills.
    • Be curious and have the desire to evolve.
    • A sense of service.
    • The rigor necessary for all interventions.
    • Have a driving licence.

    It is specified that the position of Process Supervisor is physical (carrying loads, climbing scales...) and implies to not be claustrophobic and to not have vertigo.
